Is there church this Sunday?

Yes.

We have been in contact with medical professionals and are following directives put out by the Province of Manitoba and our leadership believes at this time that holding services with extra precautions is a low-risk activity. We will update you if this changes. As a precaution, we won't be shaking hands throughout the gatherings, temporarily closing down our café and providing hand sanitizing stations.

When Should I stay home?

If you are sick, coughing or have a mild fever or anyone else in your household is sick, please stay home until you are healthy and no longer experiencing symptoms. Practice good hand washing techniques and take care of yourselves.

If you've recently traveled or been in contact with someone who traveled in the last two weeks, please stay home.

If you feel uncomfortable attending, please stay home.

If you miss, you can always catch our podcast to stay up to date with our sermons at www.crosschurch.ca/listen

We are working on a solution to get a video copy of this week's service available on Sunday via youtube- http://bit.ly/39P7puR

We encourage you to inform yourself of the day-to-day happenings with this situation and make a decision that is right for you and your family.

What about Giving?

We especially need your financial support right now. We encourage you to continue with your tithes and offerings so Cross Church can serve our community during this unsteady time. We want to be a light to the world! Here are your options for giving:

1. Give as usual on Sunday morning

2. E-transfer- From your banking app, send your donation to give@crosschurch.ca. in a separate email, send us your password answer. We like e-transfers because there are no fees associated with them.

3. Donate online to www.crosschurch.ca/give

4. Mail your donation to PO Box 51066 RPO Tyndall Park, Winnipeg, MB R2X 3C6

5. Drop by the church in-person during office hours (M-F 9-5)

The uncertainty of this outbreak is creating anxiety in our workplaces, schools, and day-to-day activities. Yet we remain certain of God’s steadfast presence and careful attention to all that is happening. Please join us in praying for those who are affected by this illness, as well as their caregivers and those who are working around the clock to minimize the impact of this virus.

In Psalm 46, we are reminded that it is God who is our refuge and strength, and our ever-present help in trouble. Therefore, let us not fear, but with confidence use this opportunity to be the hands and feet of Jesus through our prayers and our care for others.

In Christ,

The Cross Church Team

March 12, 2020

We will be updating our website and social media in real-time in response to the COVID-19 pandemic as new information emerges.

While we don’t want to panic and make decisions based on fear, we do care deeply for our congregation and community and want everyone to remain healthy at this time.

At the time of publishing we are planning on having regular gatherings this Sunday, March 15, 2020 at 9:30 & 11:15 am. Cross Church is taking precautions to ensure a clean meeting environment, as well as offering hand sanitizing stations for your convenience while we gather. To help prevent the spread of germs, we encourage attenders to refrain from shaking hands.

In consideration of others, we ask you to please be aware of your family’s health status and consider staying stay home if you or someone in your household is ill. If you miss a gathering, you can listen to the message at crosschurch.ca/listen.
