"Stewarding the Temple: Christian Living through Healthy Habits"
Maintaining good health is the Christian response to the Bible’s teaching concerning our bodies and good stewardship. The Apostle Peter said, “you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.” And the Apostle Paul said, “Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself, for God bought you with a high price. So, you must honor God with your body.”
A stewardship-oriented lifestyle includes regular physical activity, balanced nutrition, adequate sleep, stress management and healthy relationships. Following these habits will allow you to better serve the body of Christ and equip you for whatever ministry God is calling you to.
For four weeks in March 2026, Doctor Shane Hartry and Pastor Alan Duncalfe will work together to teach Cross Church how to get healthy and remain healthy. The goal is to teach good habits that support long-term health, disease prevention and general well-being.
